Courting Candle $9.00
Courting candles were used when a suitor came to call on a young lady. Parents would show their approval or disapproval of the gentleman by setting the candle at either a high height allowing for a long visit or a lower height which meant the gentleman would be leaving soon. The courting candle is 4 inches high by 4 inches wide.
